These Terms of Use (“Terms”) explain how Hintmaster works and what you’re agreeing to when you use the site. By visiting or using Hintmaster, you’re saying “yep, I’m cool with this.”

Not a lawyer disclaimer: this is plain-language legal. If we ever go big, we’ll let the suit people tighten the wording.

1. What Hintmaster is

Hintmaster is an experimental marketplace that helps connect people who want to buy and sell digital game codes, tokens, passes, and similar items (“Codes”). We don’t own the games or platforms behind those Codes — we’re just the middle layer that tries to keep things fair and non-scammy.

2. Early access reality check

Hintmaster is in an early-access, still-finding-its-shape phase. Features, policies, and even the way the site looks may change as we learn what actually works. Some listings you see may be samples or limited test offers.

3. Who can use Hintmaster

By using the site, you confirm that:

• You’re old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live.
• You’re allowed to use online marketplaces and buy digital goods.
• You’ll follow any rules or terms of service from the game publishers / platforms related to the Codes you buy or sell.

4. Things you agree not to do

You agree you will NOT use Hintmaster to:

• Sell stolen, fraudulently obtained, or otherwise unauthorized Codes.
• Break any laws or violate game/platform terms of service.
• Try to access other people’s accounts or data.
• Spam, scam, harass, or abuse anyone using the site.

5. If you’re a seller

When you submit a listing or offer Codes for sale, you promise that:

• You have the legal right to sell those Codes.
• The info you give us (game, platform, region, quantity, price, etc.) is accurate.
• You understand we may refuse, edit, or remove listings at our discretion, especially if they look suspicious or unclear.
• You understand payouts can be delayed or withheld if there’s a dispute, fraud concern, or evidence that Codes are invalid or obtained improperly.

6. If you’re a buyer

When you buy through Hintmaster, you are buying a redeemable Code — not a game account. You’re responsible for:

• Checking the correct game, platform, and region before you purchase.
• Redeeming the Code according to the relevant store / publisher instructions.

If a Code delivered by Hintmaster is invalid or already redeemed, we’ll work with you in good faith. Our options may include a replacement Code or a refund, following whatever refund practices we’re using at the time.

7. Payments and payouts

Payments from buyers and payouts to sellers may go through third-party payment providers. By using Hintmaster, you agree to their terms as well. We don’t store full payment card details on our own servers.

8. No affiliation with publishers

Hintmaster is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publishers, platforms, or storefronts mentioned on the site. All trademarks, logos, and game titles belong to their respective owners.

9. Service changes and downtime

We can modify, pause, or shut down parts of the Service at any time, with or without notice. Because this is an early-access project, you should expect experiments, tweaks, and the occasional broken thing.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Hintmaster is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties — express or implied — about the Service, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hintmaster and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

If we are found liable for something, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to Hintmaster for the specific transaction at issue (if any).

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hintmaster and its creators from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date below. If you keep using the Service after changes go live, that counts as accepting the new Terms.
